The entire team at Professors Without Borders are thinking of our friends at the FBC law school in Sierra Leone as the nation goes through another difficult period in its history.
Below, the communication with an update from the law society as featured on Lucy’s Facebook page.

Today’s misery redefines our tearful history as a country. Amist the contending challenges, nature has compelled to thwart our fragile progress. It is grief stricken, watching the remains of our compatriots; men, women and children of greater potentials. It could have been any one of us, but to God be all praises.
As a society, we stand in solidarity with the families of those departed.
At this moment, words are of little significance; let us strive to extend a helping hand.
This disaster is one of many challenges, but we must not succumb. Let our hopes and dreams soothing our pains; and concertedly we must work to avert future disaster.
We advise therefore, all Law Students as well as members of the public to avoid affected and disaster prone areas.
Meanwhile, we presume every Law student is safe and secured.
Please, in case of casualty or other severe flood related issues, contact the Executive.
May the departed rest in eternal peace.
Viva!!! Law Society ⚖
Viva!!! Students solidarity
