For the penultimate day of our summer school at the African Rural University (ARU), students presented their projects for Akbar’s Social Entrepreneurship course. Please enjoy the following video diary from Rachel!
After covering Kotter’s 8-step change model in class, Akbar asked students to focus on a social issue and work through the 8-steps in order to make a plan they could use out in the field. The exercise was extremely successful, with the students really getting into addressing the social issues of their choice and coming up with concrete ways to approach and find solutions to them! On top of the presentations, Akbar also asked students to think about how they would create a social enterprise to support their cause.
